With the Thanksgiving holiday upon us, please know that I am personally thankful for your hard work and dedication to diversity, equity and inclusive excellence.
With the end of the semester in sight and many beginning to plan for the holidays, I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to each of you for your work and dedication to the university over the past year.
I am writing with an update on how we are moving forward to enhance 91¸£ÀûÉç’s anti-racism and anti-harassment efforts to improve the campus experience so that all students, particularly those from underrepresented groups, feel welcome, valued and safe. I will continue meeting with student leaders through the semester to make sure I understand their perspectives as we make progress on these efforts.

Looking back on my first year as chief of police, I want to share just a few of the ways the 91¸£ÀûÉç Police Department has improved how we protect our Buffs.
The task force's final report addresses graduate student fees, health care services and stipends, and detailed information on recent investments the university has made in graduate student faculty compensation.
As the semester kicks off, know that the staff at the Graduate School, as well as the United Government of Graduate Students (UGGS), the many offices at Student Affairs, and, of course, your home department, are all here to support you.

Welcome to a new semester at 91¸£ÀûÉç! I want to especially welcome those who are new to our campus community. Though times have changed since I was a student (yes, I was once a student), here is my list of top five tips for students based on 45 years of experience as a professor, parent and now chancellor of this beautiful campus.
