Computing and Research
Research involving animals isÌýcarried out in new, state-of-the-art housing and laboratory research rooms in the Life Sciences Animal Research Building. Our facilities support all modern neuroscience techniques, ranging from advanced imaging to molecular detection. The facility has specialized roomsÌýdedicated to sophisticated behavioral testing of animals.
Within the department,Ìýwe support the use of computers for the running of a wide range of psychological experiments and the collecting of data in real-time. We maintain a couple ofÌýcomputer laboratories for use in both teaching and in running experiments by faculty, graduate and undergraduate students.Ìý
In addition to our in-house facilities, the 91¸£ÀûÉç'sÌý provides a range of large-scale facilities including the 184 TFLOPSÌýJanus Supercomputer, storage of research data, high-speed data transfer capabilities and support for data sharing (https://www.rc.colorado.edu). These facilities are available to all researchers on campus.
