Colorado School of Mines (°ä°¿): The Colorado School of Mines Strength & Conditioning Department is actively seeking hard-working applicants for VOLUNTARY/NON-MONETARY internship positions working with all varsity sports within our program for the Summer Term 2025  (June 2nd – ÌýAugust 15th). Interns will have the ability to learn from a  CSCCaÌýApproved Mentor.ÌýÌýThe internship will also work with your department to fulfill credits for course workÌýfor qualifying interns.

The intent of the internship is to provide a semester of hands-on training to prepare the candidate to take on the next level position in strength and conditioning as either a graduate assistant or full-time strength coach. Ìý

Interns are expected to participate in a comprehensive and challenging educational program, including whiteboard discussion and hands-on experience in the following areas: program design, biomechanics, football, and Olympic program development, exercise instruction, Olympic lifting progressions and techniques, plyometrics, speed and agility techniques, energy system development, regeneration methods, nutritional basics, leadership and facility and athlete management. 

Internship responsibilities will include various duties within the Colorado School of Mines Strength and Conditioning Department. Hours will vary throughout the semester and may include early morning, late afternoon hours, and weekends. Previous weight room or athletic coaching experience is a plus.

Welcome to the Recreation Injury Care Center!

The Recreation Injury Care Center (RICC) is an operational department within the CU Student Recreation Center. Governed by Student Affairs on the campus of 91¸£ÀûÉç, the RICC is a facility that offers injury care and treatment to not only club sports athletes but also members of the rec center. Any service rendered through the RICC is provided to rec center or club sports members free of charge. Services provided through the RICC include:

  • Injury evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation
  • Acute injury management
  • Emergency Response
  • Referrals to appropriate medical providers
  • On-site medical coverage of home club sports events
  • Performance and recovery strategies for athletes

The RICC is staffed full time by two certified athletic trainers from August 1st through May 31st, with closures during major academic breaks, and overseen by medical physicians through Wardenburg Health Center.

We are looking for 4-6 highly motivated student interns for the 2025-26 academic school year. This internship will provide you with a basic knowledge of sports medicine, options to help with game and event coverage from a medical standpoint, and operation of an athletic training clinic including:

  • Injury evaluation
  • Documentation
  • Rehabilitation of sports injuries
  • Use of therapeutic modalities
  • Taping
  • On field management of sports injuries
  • Emergency management
  • Physician contact and the referral process

You will also become familiar with working with a variety of athletes including CU's Club Sports Program. Sports that you may see include, but are not limited to:

Interns, both upper and lower classmen, are eligible for up to 6 credit hours in the IPHY program. Minimum qualifications include:

  • Availability to work a minimum of 45 hours/semester (45 hrs worked = 1 credit hour) including clinic time and event coverage

The 2025 Spring Clinical Research Internship at the Sie Center for Down Syndrome at Children’s Hospital Colorado offers social, behavioral, pre-medical, and biological students the opportunity to work closely with the research team and clinic providers on research projects related to their specific sub-specialty.Ìý The primary focus of this internship is supporting clinical research, analysis, and article writing.Ìý Students will have the unique opportunity to join medical researchers in completing ongoing research and quality improvement investigations.Ìý Research interns will also gain valuable insight into the publication, institutional review board, and study cycle and analysis process.ÌýResponsibilities include: (1) assisting staff in the design, execution, and evaluation of research and quality improvement projects, (2) literature and/or chart reviews, (3) survey and/or database development, (4) population of investigation databases, and (5) data collection, integration, and analysis. Holy Family High School Sports Performance Internship

The Sports Performance internship at Holy Family High School in Broomfield, CO will provide opportunities for interns to gain valuable experience in coaching strength training and speed and agility at the high school and middle school level.

Holy Family offers 19 different sports and has around 550 athletes who are involved in year-round S&C. We have a new state of the art weight room which includes velocity-based training technologies to help us provide each athlete with as individualized a program as possible.

There are opportunities to intern during the spring, summer, and fall with the ability to get up to 30 hours per week. Initially the position will be unpaid with the possibility of becoming a paid position in the future.

My name is Cindy Muir. I am a woman with multiple sclerosis in a wheelchair seeking strong, confident women to work as my caregivers/health aides. For the past 14 years, I have hired students on the pre-med track which now have successful careers in the medical field. Although it is not limited to pre-med students only. This has been the most incredible journey and rewarding experience. I continue to remain in communication with so many from my past.
