The annual Leeds Sustainability Case Competition brought together 39 teams from top business schools to develop solutions for just that.

PARTICIPATION
This was the central challenge that MBA students from institutions like the University of California, Berkeley (Haas), The University of Chicago (Booth), Duke University (Fuqua) and Columbia tackled at the competition.

Since 2001, the competition has helped corporate partners address a pressing concern related to sustainability by providing the best solutions from teams of MBA and graduate school students from preeminent institutions all around the world. Prior cases have focused on designing a path for economic recovery during a global pandemic, full spectrum capital and the implications for business financials, and more. The 2023 Net Impact Case CompetitionÌý(now the LSCC)Ìýchallenged students to find use for a decommissioned coal plant in a way that benefited communities, encouraged future profitability, and ultimately produced a sustainable, long-term purpose.
