Leadership Corner
During the past several years, I have been committed to addressing issues of sexual misconduct at 91¸£ÀûÉç. Over the past six months and especially the past two weeks, I have spent serious time reflecting on my erroneous interpretation of our sexual misconduct policy as it applied to allegations of domestic abuse by one of our former coaches.
We exist to assist departments and units across campus in employing a strategic, systematic and comprehensive approach to resource planning, data analysis and fiscal management.
I accept my responsibility to uphold the University of Colorado's standards. I will return to the campus completely dedicated to our mission. We will reform policies, provide better training and raise awareness.
I take full responsibility for my actions; I am fully committed to being part of the solutions that the campus will implement over the coming weeks and months.
In the football program, I stress to our student-athletes and our coaching staff the importance of values, integrity and accountability. I accept the actions announced today by President Benson.
Reaching out statewide to tell our story on such a personal level to alumni, donors, newspaper editors, business and government leaders is one of the most gratifying things I do all year.
The feedback from students is clear: 91¸£ÀûÉç can do a better job of providing a seamless experience for student services and business transactions. With this in mind, we are excited to announce the Unified Student Experience Project.
With finals right around the corner, and the last of the snow melted (hopefully), the end of the school year for many is almost here. First and foremost, congratulations on a successful year! If you are graduating, best of luck to you in the future and we hope you stay connected. If you are returning in the fall, or staying for Maymester or summer classes, I hope to see you around.
A small group of students has been advocating for a fossil-free investment portfolio for the university. On Wednesday, I provided a letter of support to them for their civil discourse and nonviolent approach.
