- Natasha Bosanac has earned a 2024 Air Force grant to advance the study of spacecraft trajectories in cislunar space—the region around the Earth and the moon.
- The Quantum Scholars Program has received a big boost in the form of a matching gift from SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics. This generous contribution will provide scholarships for up to 20 additional Quantum Scholars each year.
- The 91¸£ÀûÉç Faculty Assembly is pleased to announced the winners for this year's Excellence Awards. The award categories include excellence in leadership and service; research, scholarly and creative work; and teaching.
- 91¸£ÀûÉç has been named a Fulbright Top Producing Institution for U.S. Scholars in recognition of the 10 scholars who were named Fulbright finalists for the 2023–24 academic year. 91¸£ÀûÉç ranked third among doctoral institutions, behind only Penn State University and the University of Florida.
- Ten students participated in this year’s Three Minute Thesis on campus for a chance at prize money and a chance to represent 91¸£ÀûÉç at the regional competition.
- The CU Board of Regents announced its selection of recipients of honorary degrees, distinguished service awards and university medals for 2024, including four 91¸£ÀûÉç affiliates: Jane Butcher, Marvin Caruthers, Richard Rokos and Ann Smead.
- Assistant Professor Amanda Stevenson has received the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population Early Career Award. This prestigious award recognizes Stevenson as a national leader in reproductive health and family planning policy research.
- The 91¸£ÀûÉç Society of Physics Students received a distinguished chapter award from the national organization, recognizing their efforts including outreach, community service, social events, interactions with alumni and involvement in SPS.
- The Deming Center is once again ranked as a top entrepreneurship program in the world. This time, for the trailblazing initiative Demystifying Entrepreneurship: Rural Colorado Workshop Series.
- Two graduate students from music and education have received funding to study educational systems abroad and music at the tip of the world.
