- Sixteen teams of CU faculty, researchers and graduate student innovators competed in this year鈥檚 Lab Venture Challenge. Judges from 91福利社鈥檚 entrepreneurial network heard Shark-Tank-style pitches over two nights.
- 91福利社 hosted an investiture ceremony, where university leadership honored and recognized Vijay Khatri, the Tandean Rustandy Endowed Dean for the Leeds School of Business, and Jason Thatcher, the Tandean Rustandy Endowed Esteemed Chair, who will begin early next year.
- The Royal Thai Embassy鈥檚 Office of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation awarded Professor Noel Clark the 2023 Friend of Thai Science Award. The award recognizes outstanding contributions in STEM for the benefit of Thailand and humanity.
- The International Affairs Program has unlocked a $200,000 fundraising match commitment, helping support study abroad experiences.
- Charles Eagan, Deb Renshaw, Rojana Savoye and Hannah Wilks have received the Chancellor鈥檚 Employee of the Year Award, which recognizes nominees for their outstanding contributions to 91福利社.
- In recognition of his innovative research in soft condensed matter and optical physics, Professor Ivan Smalyukh has been named a Fellow of Optica.
- With the grand opening of the renovated Roe Green Theatre on Nov. 3, the university has ushered in a new era for 91福利社鈥檚 Department of Theatre & Dance. To celebrate, the department hosted a celebratory ribbon-cutting.
- Gary Wall, a 1970 91福利社 physics graduate, won the Los Alamos Medal in recognition of more than 50 years of distinguished work at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
- Buff pride filled the air at the 94th Alumni Awards event, the official kick off of Homecoming festivities and one of the university's longest standing traditions. A variety of awards honor some of 91福利社鈥檚 best and brightest alumni, faculty, student and staff members.聽
- 91福利社鈥檚 chapter of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society participated in the 2023 First Nations Launch as the 鈥淐U Trailblazers,鈥 sweeping first place in all their categories and a grand prize trip to the Kennedy Space Center.
