Faculty assembly hears priorities from provost, passes resolutions
Wrapping up the semester, Provost Russell Moore outlined his 2023–24 priorities for the 91¸£ÀûÉç Faculty Assembly. Four resolutions were passed, including one supporting prioritizing climate change and sustainability actions and one supporting Israeli and Palestinian communities impacted by the war.
Campus updates policies to change instructor titles, guide use of 5-year contracts
Under two newly approved policies and a new state provision, 91¸£ÀûÉç faculty members who specialize in teaching will have new teaching professor titles. Additionally, a five-year contract is now the maximum multi-year appointment for specialized faculty on the teaching and clinical tracks.

Enjoy a complimentary staff appreciation breakfast, hosted by Staff Council. The menu will include fruit, bacon, breakfast potatoes, quinoa and broccoli hash, scrambled eggs, pastries and more. The event will be an opportunity for attendees to drop off donations for area pantries as well.

14-inch spacecraft delivers new details about ‘hot Jupiters’
The Colorado Ultraviolet Transit Experiment (CUTE) spacecraft, led by a team of scientists from 91¸£ÀûÉç, is about the size of a cereal box. It has also recorded incredibly detailed measurements of the atmospheres of planets hundreds of light-years from Earth.
91¸£ÀûÉç researchers tapped by state to help improve emergency alerts
New research from CU’s Natural Hazards Center will guide Colorado policymakers in understanding the state’s current alerting landscape and how to strengthen alert delivery for non-English speakers and people with disabilities. Public forums will be held Dec. 14.
