Friday, Feb. 14

Noon to 2听p.m. UMC
Pump up your tires and participate in the international Winter Bike to Work Day challenge. Look for the听"Bike Home" station in the south plaza of the UMCfor some bike-related fun, food and wackiness.听

Join this weekly gathering co-hosted by International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) and CU International. It's a fun way to unwind at the end of a long week! Enjoy free coffee, cake and amazing conversations while meeting awesome new people.

Fri-Yay Nights: Heart-opener yoga and chocolates

Have some Valentine鈥檚 Day fun with heart-opener yoga followed by sweet valentines and delicious chocolate.

鈥淯pdate from Juno: Love Letters from Jupiter鈥

7鈥8听p.m.听Fiske Planetarium
Join Professor听Fran Bagenal for听a journey to Jupiter with NASA鈥檚 Juno spacecraft. You'll learn the latest news this mission is telling us about the largest planet in our solar system.听Please plan to arrive 30 minutes early, as this talk will be very popular.

Black Love Skate

8:30鈥11 p.m. Rec Center, Ice Rink
In partnership with the National Society of Black Engineers, attend this Inclusive Rec event to skate and meet other black students, meet student leaders of black student听clubs, and embrace Black Love by inviting a date (date optional). All are welcome to participate and experience the culture. Skate rentals provided for free.


Saturday, Feb. 15

Adaptation Urbanism with Andres Duany

9:30 a.m. to听听p.m.听ENVD 134
This workshop, led by Andr茅s Duany, focuses on urban design ideas and adaptation plans to help planners, designers and city officials address climate change and related natural disasters. Space is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis.听A limited number of scholarships are available for students听but must be requested in advance by first听听and emailing the request to听cedarcenter@colorado.edu.听

LGBTQ+ and Allies Yoga and Waffles

11:30 a.m. to听12:20 p.m.听Rec Center, Mind Body Studio听
Join this event for all-levels yoga that will use welcoming language and education around the physiological changes that occur in the body while practicing yoga. Practice yoga sequences like sun salutation and seated meditation and learn how to use movement and breathing patterns to dispel negative thoughts. There will be free waffles for participants to enjoy at the end of class!

鈥淭he Growing Field of 鈥–annabis Research鈥

1鈥3听p.m.听Biotech Building, Butcher Auditorium
In this CU on the Weekend lecture, Daniela Vergara, a research associate who is also part of the cannabis industry, will describe the latest results of her cannabis genomics research.听She will discuss future research directions and how her investigation can inform consumers, legislators, growers and breeders.听This presentation is free听but limited to the first 200 people who arrive
