Global entrepreneurs, local impact
In 2016, 91¸£ÀûÉç welcomed Julien Denaes as one of its Global Entrepreneurs in Residence (GEiR), a program that embeds international, experienced entrepreneurs in the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the campus and the city.
In his year as a GEiR, Denaes, a native of Switzerland, mentored dozens of 91¸£ÀûÉç students across a range of disciplines, developed innovative programming for the burgeoning Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative and launched his own company, Alpin.
GEiRs rotate through the program annually—Denaes has already finished his year— but their impact on 91¸£ÀûÉç’s students and community will be long lasting.
