The workflows for your pages have been updated accordingly. If you did not submit any changes, your workflows are the same as they were for the 2019–20 catalog. If you have questions about the workflows for your pages, please email catalog@colorado.edu.

Faculty & Course Updates

While faculty listings and course descriptions are displayed in the catalog, you cannot edit this directly from the catalog platform. Instead, please submit the appropriate request.

To add, edit or delete faculty information, submit our faculty edit request form.

To update course information in the catalog, complete a course proposal and revision form. This includes adding a new course, removing a course, or modifying existing course information (including the full course description). Course proposals received by January 15, 2020, will be published in the 2020–21 catalog. For additional information, see the course proposals webpage.

Degree Audit Review

As part of this year's catalog review process, the degree audit team will review all academic program pages (including minors, certificates and graduate degrees). In the interest of increased transparency and supporting student success, please list all course options in the catalog. Programs that offer multiple tracks/options/emphases should also list any differing requirements accordingly. Degree audits will be encoded based on program requirements and plan(s) of study as defined in the catalog.

Questions about the difference between what to include on the requirements and plan of study tabs?

The requirements tab should include all requirements needed to complete the program, including course options that meet the individual requirements, as well as minimum grades and/or GPA requirements.

On the plan(s) of study tab, use the plan of study grid to provide a sample semester-by-semester plan of study, including general education requirements. Credit totals should equal the minimum required total hours for the degree.

For more information about the requirements and plan of study tabs, please see our catalog support slides or attend an upcoming drop-in session.

Program Learning Outcomes

As a part of regular program review and ongoing campus accreditation efforts, the campus will continue to move toward asking each unit to specify what knowledge and skills students will gain during the course of a degree program.

The 2020–21 catalog will include a learning outcomes tab for each degree program. As with the 2019–20 catalog, if your unit has already crafted and approved its program learning outcomes, please plan to include them here. If not, you may leave the learning outcomes tab blank and it will not appear in the published 2020–21 catalog.

If your unit already provided program learning outcomes for the 2019–20 catalog, they will be available on the page for your review and approval just like any other catalog content.

For more information about creating learning outcomes for its degree program(s), your unit may contact the Vice Provost for Academic Planning and Assessment.

 Update Your Catalog News Sub
