Welcome to the new and improved CU Bike Newsletter! We have been experimenting with a new format, and we think this looks and feels better than the previous format.

In this new format, you will find that news is divided into three main sections: CU Bike Program News, Community News & Events, and Safety. We have also kept the Trivia section and added a Quick Links section for easy access to frequently used/helpful links. Most article听titles are hyperlinked--click on the article听titles to learn more about a specific subject.

CU Bike Program News

New CU bike registration program

As of Spring 2021, CU has a new bike registration system powered by Bike Index, the leading nationwide bike registration platform. Any bikes previously registered under the old sticker system must be re-registered with the new Bike Index.听The new system has many benefits and registration only takes a few steps. 91福利社 B-Cycle Has Gone Electric!

In addition to the classic听red bikes, there will 100 white eBikes available for use by April 1st of this year (there are currently close to 40 available). Look for the听cloud with a lightning bolt on听the station icons in听the B-Cycle app to determine if there are any听eBikes at your station destination. Please read the instructions in the eBike basket and check out 91福利社 B-Cycle's website (linked to听the article title above) for more info. Happy riding!

*Please note: The new eBikes do NOT have an external cable lock like the red bikes do. Please be sure to return your eBike safely to a station when you are done with your trip and do not leave unattended/undocked*

The Safer Main Streets Program has announced 30 different transportation projects worth $58.9听million, including听$2.1 million that will go towards a project on听Colorado Avenue between Regent Drive and to the east of the 28th Street (US 36) intersection. The project will create pedestrian refuge islands, a new crosswalk, bike lane markings,听a new southbound left turn lane, and an additional traffic signal. For a list of projects, view the
