The Off-Campus Living Orientation

Does your student know what questions to ask their landlord before moving in to a rental? Do they know how many hours it takes to remove snow from the sidewalks after a blizzard? Students can find the answers to these questions and much more by completing !Ìý
The Off-Campus Living Orientation is a courseÌýcreated to help students prepare for life off-campus, avoid tickets and citations and get involved in the 91¸£ÀûÉç community. By taking the course, your student will:
- Learn what it means to be a good tenant, roommate, neighbor and community member.
- Go over tips for understanding aÌýlease and communicating with a landlord.
- Discover what legal resources are available as a student.
- Become aware of their rights and responsibilities as a member of the 91¸£ÀûÉç community.
- Review City of 91¸£ÀûÉç ordinances and rules to avoid citations.
- Find ways to get involved in the community.
Ìýis already available through Canvas, 91¸£ÀûÉç’s learning management system.ÌýÌýYour student can easily log in with their Identikey and password; they will be able to complete the course at their own pace and on theiyÌýown timeframe. We encourage students to review this valuable information about off-campus living prior to their arrival or return to 91¸£ÀûÉç.
Students renting from Four Star on the Hill may have additional requirements to complete this course prior to moving into their rental and may be unable to move-in until the requirement is fulfilled.
