The trio, a hit on the jam-band circuit pioneered by the Grateful Dead, and the versatile, 20-member, alt-classical band will jam together and separately for an eclectic program that draws on everything from the work of brain-bending science-fiction author Philip K. Dick to Egyptian mythology, Herman Melville and Detroit jazz.
The College of Music will host a memorial for student Rob Miles at 7:30 p.m. Monday Feb. 2, in Grusin Music Hall.

Although he divided his time between Arizona and Alaska, the late Eugene D. Eaton Jr. never lost his connection to the 91¸£ÀûÉç, where he earned three degrees in economics from 1961 to 1971.
Quartet members Andrew Giordano, Andrew Krimm, Zachary Reaves and Joshua Ulrich joined Park, bassoonist Daniel Nester, tenor Paul Kroeger and mezzo-soprano Rebecca Robinson were named finalists after two rounds of competition among 40 contestants. The quartet won the $2,000 overall prize, Park received $500 for the audience prize and all finalists received $500 prizes, to be used professional development, to help with costs for such things as performance, outreach or recording.
Myra Lee (Barnes) Jackson, known to every student and faculty member who scheduled a recital or concert at the College of Music and widely known to the 91¸£ÀûÉç community for her work with CU Presents, died at her home Oct. 29, 2014. She was 73.

The University of Colorado College of Music won’t quite take you around the world in 80 minutes, but in one concert of that length, they can take you into musical cultures from the other side of the globe.
College of Music freshman Michael Ochoa has been named to the inaugural class of the CU-91¸£ÀûÉç Esteemed Scholars program.
"I was honored to be awarded this scholarship and to be included in this program," Ochoa says. "A huge factor for me was the professor of oboe here (Peter Cooper), also the environment of CU-91¸£ÀûÉç is a really welcoming place."
