Mini-documentary: CU NOW
For three weeks every summer, the Eklund Opera Program at the 91¸£ÀûÉç workshops new opera works as part of CU NOW. With three weeks to take scenes from initial rehearsal to final performance, the workshop brings out the best in performers, composers, writers and crew.
The 2015 program featured five original scenes by CU-91¸£ÀûÉç composition students, along with scenes from the upcoming Zach Redler and Mark Campbell collaboration, "A Song for Susan Smith."
In this brief documentary, student artists, CU-91¸£ÀûÉç faculty and opera professionals talk about how important workshops like this are to the opera form and to the individual musician.
