Payment may be in the form of credit card or speedtype for university accounts (e.g., CSI student organization accounts, university departments).

Reserving parties using a non-university account payment method must submit a deposit equal to the full amount of the reservation within 3 business days of the reservation. Failure to provide deposit may result in a cancelled reservation.

Payment for the total cost of the reservation, including but not limited to the event package, new games/licenses applicable for the reservation, and costs incurred during the duration of the reservation/event, are due within 30 days following the last day of the reservation/event.Ìý


Food and beverages are not allowed in the Alienware Buffalo Esports and Gaming Lounge. Water in closed containers is permitted.Ìý


Event attendees will be held accountable to the Guest Conduct Guidelines of the Alienware Buffalo Esports and Gaming Lounge. Reserving parties are expected to help uphold the Guest Conduct Guidelines for individuals participating in their reservation. Organizations may be held responsible for the conduct of their guests in the Gaming Lounge, including but not limited to: verbal/written warnings, reports to the Center for Student Involvement which may impact organization standing, fines for stolen or damaged materials, and/or cancellation and prohibition of future reservations.

Use of the Gaming Lounge is subject to applicable university policies, including but not limited to:

Violations of applicable university policy will be reported to the appropriate office, such as Student Conduct or the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance.Ìý


Reserving parties and Gaming Lounge guests are prohibited from livestreaming or broadcasting video or audio content from the Gaming Lounge or with Gaming Lounge equipment without prior written permission from the Senior Coordinator for Gaming Programs.

To receive permission to livestream or broadcast from the Gaming Lounge, the reserving parties must provide in writing:

  • the channels / platforms to which the parties will be streaming
  • which of those channels / platforms may generate revenue for any individual or organization, excluding the hosting service (e.g., Twitch, YouTube).

Reserving parties may be assessed a Broadcast Booth reservation fee for each reservation that has at least one revenue-generating livestream.

Reserving parties will not be permitted to livestream or broadcast to channels or platforms maintained by the University without prior approval.Ìý


The Broadcast Booth and/or A/V equipment may not be used for recording, producing, or broadcasting/livestreaming audio and/or video content without a reservation. The Broadcast Booth and A/V equipment can be reserved for the purposes of recording, producing, or broadcasting/livestreaming audio and/or video content. Reserving parties must reserve the Broadcast Booth and explicitly state their intentions to record, produce, or broadcast/livestream content at the time of reservation.

The reserving party is subject to all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, Gaming Lounge policies, and university policies. These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Honor Code and Student Code of Conduct
  • Campus Use of University Facilities
  • Acceptable Use of 91¸£ÀûÉç's IT Resources
  • Sexual Misconduct, Intimate Partner Violence & Stalking
  • Protected Class Nondiscrimination
  • Alienware Buffalo Esports and Gaming Lounge Guest Conduct Guidelines

Reserving parties may not in any manner make it appear, whether expressly or implicitly, that the Gaming Lounge, Center for Student Involvement, Alienware, or the University endorses the content produced, or a partisan, political, sectarian, or religious position. Reserving parties may state they are "at the Alienware Buffalo Esports and Gaming Lounge." Use of the Gaming Lounge or other university channels, graphics, logos, or wordmarks in the content production is subject to applicable policies and approval.Ìý


Any decorations must be approved prior to the event by Alienware Buffalo Esports and Gaming Lounge staff. Items are prohibited from being nailed, screwed or taped to the facility or disassembling, altering or removing any item or fixture of the university without prior permission in writing from the university. Any and all charges of service or damages to the Alienware Buffalo Esports and Gaming Lounge and/or the equipment are the responsibility of the group or organization. The group/organization is responsible for the clean up of any area(s) utilized during the event.


The Chancellor or his or her designee may close all or a portion of the campus or limit access to specified areas of the campus for one or more of the following reasons: Weather, flood, fire or other emergencies. Applicable campus policies will control these closures; To prevent material and substantial disruption of the university’s operations and/or activities; Public safety; Construction or maintenance project or operation. The decision to close all or part of the campus will be made by the Chancellor or (designee). The Chancellor may consult with various individuals on campus and ask for recommendations, but the Chancellor will make the final decision. If there is a closure under this policy, no events will be scheduled and any scheduled events may be canceled. If only a portion of the campus is closed or has access limited to it, no events will be scheduled for that portion of campus and any events scheduled for that part of campus may be canceled.


All changes to a reservation must be made in writing via email to the gaming lounge staff by the reserving party at least 48 hours in advance of the reservation/event. Changes made within 48 hours of the reservation might not be accommodated at the discretion of the gaming lounge staff.


Cancelations initiated by the reserving party:

  • Cancelations must be submitted in writing via email to the gaming lounge staff by the reserving party.
  • Cancelations made more than 48 hours before the start of a reservation will be refunded any deposit paid for the reservation.
  • Cancelations made within 48 hours of the start of the reservation will not be refunded their reservation deposit.

Cancelations initiated by the university or gaming lounge due to administrative policies/procedures:

  • Cancelations made by the gaming lounge due to university closure, UMC closure or other administrative policy/procedure will be communicated in writing to the reserving party.
  • The Senior Coordinator for Gaming Programs will work with the reserving party to reschedule the reservation due to administrative cancellations.
  • If rescheduling is not possible, the gaming lounge will refund the reservation to the reserving party.

Reserving parties may be issued a refund if they cancel their event at least 48 hours prior to the start of the reservation/event; or the gaming lounge or university cancels their reservation due to an administrative cancelation (e.g., university or UMC closure, insufficient funds or no approved funding request on file for RSO/RSGO). Reserving parties will not be issued a payment refund if they fail to arrive to their reservation within 15 minutes and do not inform gaming lounge staff about their late arrival; and/or they cancel their reservation within 48 hours of the start of the reservation/event.


Permission to use the space on the date and time indicated herein is granted based on information provided. Any changes must be communicated to Alienware Buffalo Esports and Gaming Lounge staff to maintain the reservation. Final signature by the applicant indicates the willingness to abide by all federal, state and local laws and regulation of the University of Colorado. The university reserves the right to terminate immediately the privileges for use of facilities of any individual and/or group which refuses to comply with university regulations, or which permits conduct considered detrimental to the university.


The Alienware Buffalo Esports and Gaming Lounge is located inside the University Memorial Center on the 91¸£ÀûÉç campus. On-campus parking is extremely limited.

The Euclid Parking Garage at 18th and Euclid is the closest public parking to the UMC. . You may be able to find free parking on The Hill, the neighborhood located across Broadway from the UMC. Accessible parking can be found at blue metered parking spaces directly next to the UMC.
